The Older People’s Strategy

In 2010 the 50+ Partnership undertook a survey called "A Good Life - What is it?" to find out what factors contribute most to having a good quality of life as one gets older. Over 500 local people responded and the findings have been used to form the basis of the revised Older People's Strategy for Blackburn with Darwen. The Strategy which has been agreed by the Local Strategic Partnership sets out the vision that all services and organisations are striving to achieve on behalf of people over 50 living in Blackburn with Darwen for the coming five years.
