I have become aware that the bus services 13, 9 and 9a between Beardwood & Lammack are
being withdrawn in May 2011 and that these buses will no longer operate along this route.
I would be very appreciative to know what service will be operating. Shankie's ponies????
Why is this area being effectively cut off from the rest of Blackburn with Darwen to travel by
bus into Blackburn town centre.
I am over 50 years of age and use this route 5 days a week but also there are disabled
people in this area so how are they going to get into the town centre when this route is being
totally bypassed. It is up to the council to give a bus service irrespectivel of the tendering
operations now in place. Reduced bus services are acceptable but to withdraw a service
in a particular area is unacceptable.
