50+ Partnership Panel
You can influence the quality of life of older people in Blackburn with Darwen.
We want to make sure that our work is always based on the reality of life for people living in the Borough.
To help us to do this we work closely with Blackburn with Darwen Older People’s Forum and Age UK Blackburn with Darwen.
In addition the 50+ Partnership has created a panel of people aged over 50 who are invited to give their views on particular topics as they arise. The membership of the Panel has reached nearly 500 which means that we can provide a significant response about older people's issues.
If you can help us keep our feet on the ground please join the panel. Most members are happy to fill in postal surveys which can be returned to a freepost address. Some members want to get more involved and attend events and focus groups. On the membership form you can tell us how involved you want to be.

50+ Partnership Panel Newsletter
In order to keep people informed about what we are doing panel members receive a newsletter twice a year which contains information about the results of surveys, and what is being done with the results.
Roadshows
The 50+ Partnership also works hard to get as wide a range of views directly from older people. To do this we run Roadshows throughout the Borough. We visit markets, supermarkets, community groups and specialised accommodation. In fact we are happy to go where ever there are people aged over 50 or their carers. We use the Roadshows to get the benefit of people’s views and experience and to keep people informed about what is happening and what we are doing.
